COMMENTPrivateering Tour – Recording & Photography
April 23, 2013
Please note that, subject to the venue’s own recording policy, Mark Knopfler has no objection to fans bringing into the show cameras and personal recording equipment to record the show, providing such photographs/recordings are for private use only and these activities do not interfere with the enjoyment of other fans.
i) Cameras – Fans can take photos of the show on personal cameras, including digital cameras, provided it is for personal use and non-professional purposes. Cameras with removable lenses are not permitted.
ii) Audio recording – This is permitted. Fans with walkmans, cassette recorders and small personal recording devices are permitted to tape the show, providing it is for their own personal use and non-commercial purposes.
iii) Video cameras – ARE NOT allowed under any circumstances.
The use of video cameras and mobile phones during the performance has become a major irritation for fans and a distraction for Mark and the band. We don’t want to restrict your enjoyment at the shows but please respect Mark’s request and resist the temptation to use these devices during the show.
COMMENTClarification of Mark Knopfler’s Show at Cap Roig
April 11, 2013
Regarding Mark Knopfler’s July 31 performance at the Cap Roig Festival in Calella de Palafrugell, ES, please see the following statement from management about the show:
There have been misleading reports in the media, stating that Mark Knopfler will be performing a special set featuring at least eight Dire Straits singles. This is not correct.
All ticket purchasers must clearly understand that the list of songs that Mark Knopfler will perform at Cap Roig will be drawn from the sets of the 70 other shows of his European tour and whilst this may include a small number of well-known Dire Straits songs, (as has been the pattern in all of Mark’s solo tours in recent years), the fact is that the vast majority of the song list will be drawn from the albums that Mark has released as a solo artist over the last 15 years.
