    Set list disappointments

Some of you have mentioned being disappointed when you see the set list - why doesn't he play a certain song, why is he playing that one - but trust me, you won't be sorry at the end of the concert. Think about your favorite DS/MK songs you'd like to hear. Pretty long list, isn't it? And I'm sure we'd all love him to play all night but unfortunately that can't happen. So, chances are you won't hear some favorites and you might hear some that didn't make your list. And it doesn't matter in the least!! I saw him at the LA show and every moment was breathtaking. I thought The Fish & The Bird was an odd choice for a live show but it was beautifully done and has become one of my new favorites. Just to be able to see him perform live was a privilege - he could have sung absolutely anything and it would have been fabulous.

I envy those of you who still have your show to look forward to. It was just about the best 2 hours of my life and went by much too fast. I've been replaying it in my mind all week. I can't wait for the chance to go to another one. So, enjoy!!

Yep... The venue I went to in Brussels (June 3th..God it seems so long ago, yet so close..) was absolutely mind blowing! I was ever so thrilled about it, but I did feel a bit sorry that it was done, no show to look forward to anymore.. I am awaiting a new album and I am still ever so impressed! Best live performance I have ever seen!

Truly, I understand every word you say Sophie.

To me it was 8th June... I still haven' t recovered! They call it Knopfler-disease I suppose... Know it, when you feel like emptying your bank account, packing your bag, crossing the Atlantic Ocean in order to be, this evening, WHEREVER HE IS PLAYING!

As for me, I' m trying to survive with the concerts of the Folkest, which starts right this evening... with Vincenzo Zitello, a great harp-genius of ours...

A new album... well, look at what Guy writes on his forum:

Mark hangs out just like everyone else but I do respect his privacy a little more which ultimately means less shots. Plus, he's often simply chilling out, always writing....

Reading this, keeps my spirit level high...

Yes, bbzurunc, I also think that no one is going to be disappointed after going to MK gig of KTGC tour. I also thought that The Fish And The Bird is nothing special, but after hearing it live ...it is one of my favourites!! Smile

But I think that most fans like 2008 setlists. Many fans did not want to hear WOF or MFN again live....and by the way, someone wrote to Guy´s forum, that MK dislikes MFN and Guy replied, that it is not true, they just give a rest to this song right now Smile  I think that if somebody is disappointed, it is very often because of the (almost no) setlist variation. But does it matter so much...?Wink

Yes, MKB, I would be extremely happy too if MK would start recording a new album next year for example...Smile We all know, that Mark likes writing, recording and also touring (the whole process) - not every artist likes all these things...and Mark also have released pretty many albums in last few years...but the live DVD/CD from this tour is also very hot topic.

     Let´s hope!!!

yeah, I know... If I were older and had enough money to go to the US, boy, I wouldn't hesitate.. But I'm guessing that in a few years, when there's a new cd/concert, I might try to attend more concerts. In Europe, venues are a lot closer then in America.. Boy, I'm hooked on Mark's music!

    the setlist is brilliant.

the dissapointment is only in the "no change whatsoever policy"
