Please clarify the wording here for the on sale dates and time. Is that Monday September 14th and 15th starting at 9:00 am (is that US Eastern time for Boston and Mashantucket CT?). It is not really worded well here. Thanks! I am soooo excited!!!

The news says "confirmed dates...are those for North America" as listed.  Does this mean there will be no additional dates in North America other than those listed today?

I missed the KTGC tour so I'm very happy that you're coming back around.  I'm a little concerned though that the dates here on your web site don't match the dates on your facebook page.  Which one is correct?

Really excited you're coming to Eugene AND Portland Oregon!  I may have to see both shows.  I think you and the band will like the Hult Center - pretty cool venue for a lame little town like Eugene; not a fancy as the Schnitzer though.  The bike path along the Willamette is nice if you get some spare time.

Caught your show at the Ryman in Nashville last year. It was a great show with a good mix of new and old stuff.

Well, I was on at 9:00 and din't get anything. oh, well. And this is really confusing:

"The following items are currently reserved by other customers, please try again in a few minutes - Mark Knopfler - Warner Theater - Washington, DC - May 2, 2010"

Does that mean there are more or does that mean you're *** out of luck. A few minutes????

I am a long time fan, going all the way back to the first DS album.  I would LOVE to see Mark in Ann Arbor, MI, and would love to get great seats, which I've never had for one of his shows.  But there is just no way I can afford $145 US a ticket.  It's just completely out of my price range.  Enjoy the show, everybody else.

photomat said:

I didn't get any tickets, though I was ready and waiting. The only quantity it ever ended up showing me was 1 and that wouldn't be very nice to my wife, now would it? I'm used to this and I'm not pissed. Springsteen tickets went the say way. Had four on the page and then the screen locked up and sent me to a re-seller site, conveniently owned by the original ticket seller.

I appreciate the effort to do a pre-sale but it was still a  bit confusing. You should have probably changed the home page to "buy tickets now" for each venue, instead of "pre-sale starts at 9:00, 'cause it's now 9:52. :)

And I have to agree with lhudson anyway. I was going to buy if I had the chance but my mind, not my heart, was screaming $145 a ticket?!?!? Our business is kind of sucky this year and so I probably should stay away from a small venue concert that runs $300 for two seats.

You're still my local hero, Mark!

Its true you cannot see the seats you are buying.Ive been down this road before and got crap seats,so this time im waiting till they go on sale to the general public, for me its Santa Rosa California. If its bad seats left ,I guess I just have to buy off ebay or craigslist ,double the price, but at least you know where you are seated.

Like I said, I appreciate Mark trying to do the right thing here. But the reality is that I was on the site from 8:59 and tried continuously and never got a single hit, except one for one individual seat. (Was trying for D.C.)

Couple that with the outrageous--and I mean really outrageous--price for seats (including service charges, etc.) that you have no clue about and it was just another experience chalked up to, well, experience.

It's ironic that my favorite two performers, Bruce and Mark, both of whom embrace that everyman spirit, can't figure out ways to outfox the foxes. I'm thankful that I got to see Mark at Wolf Trap last summer and it was one of the most enjoyable concert memories I have.

I was very dissapointed after tyring for over 40 minutes this morning to try and buy tickets to the Vancouver concert through my memebership. Everytime I tried ordering it came back with "these items are reserved for other customers, please try again in a few minutes".  I did try consistently until it indicated that all the pre-sale tickets were sold out. Why do I have a membership it it's not going to work and I faithfully follow the website?  Onthemark in Vancouver.

You guys really don't get it--Mr. Knopfler and his camp are scalping most of their own tickets. The good seats will appear in TicketMaster auctions/VIP packages, and also on TicketMaster's phony "Ticket Exchange" "where fans sell to other fans", which is a huge lie because it's just TicketMaster scalping seats that have been held back (with the blessing of the performers). That's why there are virtually no tickets available for the presales. This happens with most performers nowadays because they're all greedy, period. Wait until you see the complete crap seats that are available at the public sales! You don't think you're going to get good seats at face value, do you???

Dear Mark,

Looking forward to seing you again (third time in a row) in Vancouver in April of 2010. Would like to make a suggestion (it comes from a 50 years old guy): - PLEASE, PLEASE play more of your solo stuff and less of the old Straits songs (which are as great as they were first time I heard them - don't get me wrong - those songs are like good wine - the older the better!). However, I am yet to hear live versions of some of my favourites from your last four albums.... We, the oldtimers, love your solo work!.... By the way, get Lucky sounds very good so far.... Bravo again!
